Care
Each piece of Yasara jewelry is handcrafted and requires delicate handling. To maintain the beauty of your pieces, we recommend you do not swim, bathe, or shower in your jewelry. We package each of our pieces in a special tarnish resistant pouch. After each wear, gently wipe away any dirt and store inside the Yasara pouch to prevent tarnishing. Yasara is not responsible for the maintenance of your purchased jewelry.
GENERAL CARE
Our jewelry is special. It is delicate by nature of being small and we encourage customers to take extra care when wearing it daily. An easy tip is taking off your rings when you are doing rough handwork that may damage a stone or the shape of a ring. We also recommend taking your jewelry off when showering and sleeping. When putting on sweaters, going through pockets, etc. we also recommend spinning the rings to the inside of your hand to avoid the shapes or prong settings from getting caught on anything. (It helps to make a fist around them when putting on sweaters!)
Sterling Silver and Solid Gold
We provide a small polishing cloth with each sterling silver and solid gold purchase, and recommend you use this cloth to clean off any dirt or tarnish.
10K GOLD CARE
10k gold can darken with wear, depending on body chemistry. This is most common on the inside of rings or on earrings but it’s easy to fix! A polishing cloth usually will clear this right up but anything particularly stubborn can be taken to a reputable jeweler to be used in an ultrasonic cleanser.
PEARL CARE
Pearls benefit from being worn and absorbing the natural oils on your skin. While they benefit from moisture, they should not be submerged in water. When cleaning, gently wipe with a soft cloth before putting them away. They can also be scratched due to their soft surface and should therefore be stored separately from other jewelry.
OPAL CARE
Our opals are all natural and each unique to their cut and color. Please note that while we guarantee this quality, we, however, cannot promise exact replicas of the colors photographed due to the natural variations within the stone. Thank you in advance for understanding!
Opal is also a "softer" stone. In general, we recommend being gentle with your opal rings, follow the tips above, and be mindful not to hit them against something hard by mistake. Damaged opals are not uncommon, so keep in mind that our customer service is here for you. Yasara is not responsible for broken or lost stones, however does offer stone replacements for a reasonable repair fee. We also offer polishing, resizing, and prong tightening of any Yasara products.
DIAMOND AND SAPPHIRE CARE
Diamonds and Sapphires are more durable by nature but still should be handled with care. Avoid harsh chemicals and extreme heat. If your stone needs cleaning, you can use a polishing cloth, dish soap, and a baby toothbrush to clean underneath the setting and bring it back to its original beauty. If you ever need a deep clean, feel free to email us and we can help with next steps.
EMERALD CARE
Emeralds are beautiful but delicate and soft stones that require extra attention to ensure their longevity. Inclusions are very common in Emeralds and while they can remain stable for a long time they can form hairline cracks or chips over time if knocked around on a daily basis. We do not typically recommend them for engagement rings. We recommend taking your ring off when exercising or doing anything rough with your hands.
Gold Vermeil Only: We recommend you clean your gold vermeil jewelry using a damp, soft cloth, but make sure to fully dry the jewelry before wearing it. Do not use harsh chemicals, jewelry cleaners, or polishing cloths, as this will affect the finish.
