The metal is the outline of the memory
Our Ethos
Yasara is inspired by the jewelry heritage of South Asia , modern architecture forms, and natural landscapes large and small. The aim is to create distinctive jewelry for everyday wear.
Fine jewelry made by hand, one place at a time. Every collection begins with a trip — research, sketches, and stones carried home — shaped into pieces that hold the place without naming it outright.

Our newest ten-piece collection are made from pearls cultivated in Hawaii — a land that stuns you with its lush color palette and volcanic demolition.
Eight pieces carried back from a place that kept surfacing in memory long after the trip ended — basalt, light, and the particular quiet of an island seen from water.

How we work
Light sketches, playing with the materials, sometimes a stone as the inspiration. This jewelry practice centers around the form and material as the conduit for the idea.
It’s an art practice that we enjoy seeing others take and wear as they want. We do custom work as well as showings by appointment.

Each collection revolves around a certain stone or material. Most are sourced from the area of the story and from New York. We use sterling silver, 14-carat gold, brass and copper. Plating is not our thing, so the prices reflected represent a piece that needs very little upkeep. Forever.
-
Most pieces are produced on demand, so there is a 3-week lead time. Around holidays, we have more ready-to-ship pieces, but keep that in mind if you want something special on a deadline!
-
We would love to co-create something with you. Our Studio produces seven custom pieces a year. Please inquire to learn about the process and get a quote. We source stones for our custom projects as well!
